Day 33/34 Weigh Day

The scales smiled a small smile at me this morning.

Down .400!

Which I am happy about as I have not been able to excercise this week due to my ankle - of which the swelling is slowly going down, I have also been a bit up and down with my points so a loss is good and I made my GWEJ by .100 so am happy with that.

But on a fantastic note - I finally remembered to do my measurements:

Bust -3 cms
Waist -7 cms
Hips -6cms

Total lost 16cm since 1st May 2010!

WOO HOO!!!

ok off to start my busy weekend

Catch up later!

Day 34/93 Finally Friday

No walk this morning, I am giving the ankle another rest today so that it is all good for the busy weekend.

I found it sore last night but not the ankle more the strap underneath – I think I need to remove it in the morning once I am at work and then at about 2-3pm in the afternoon put it back on again and walk around with it on so that I get use the tightness of it again!

I am going to be quite busy this weekend between dance practices and kids soccer I will not be home much at all!

Other than that not alot to report - just plodding along with life!

Day 35/92 Walking Today

Well I went out last night and purchased an ankle strap!
It feels so much better supported that I decided to walk into work today!

The ankle itself is feeling good the part that is now bothering me is underneath the foot where the support is - I guess I am just not use to the tightness/pressure so it is annoying me while walking!.

Food choices today have been good so far - smoothie for breakfast. Soup and toast for lunch!.

Not much else to report - just chilling so I am relaxed and ready for my very busy weekend.

PEWC challenge Update- all been going great - my weekends are so much better on the water consumption - thanks to Kenz and Sean for running the challenge - finishes this weekend.

Have a great day

Day 36/91 The Walking Wounded!

No peek this morning – slept in and was running behind all morning so forgot!

I forgot to mention yesterday but on Monday evening while beginning my walk home from work I rolled my ankle!!!!

ARGH!!!!

Boy was I mad at myself – you see there is a gravel section on my walk home and I am so very careful (usually) when working thru it as I can be prone to rolling my ankle. I am not sure what happened as I thought I was watching where I was going but over I went!

So for the last two days I have rested it and brought my car in! It is still tender but I am going to see how it goes tonight at home by going for a small walk and testing it as I want to be able to get back to walking and have it ready for dance practice – I didn’t even do any dancing last night at the class but still went as I help out on the door for them! And I have the workshop on Sat that I need to be ready for!
So I might walk tomorrow and rest it on Friday!
Since it is my normal car day today – Guess what’s for lunch!!! – Give up!?

Sushi!!! – surprised???? (Such a creature of habit I am)

And again it was YUM YUM YUM!!!!!

Tonight I am going to get into the craft room and do some organising – now that my daughters birthday is finished I can concentrate on Christmas – Yes I know it is over four months away but the Christmas Geek in me will not let me rest! And since it is at my house this year there is lots to do (according to me that is)

I will bore you with the details over the next couple of months, but don’t feel like you need to get onto Christmas prep any earlier!!

Day 37/90 Ten on Tuesday.......

1. I am officially a mother to a teenage daughter – EEK!

2. My son has for some unknown reason taken to learning card tricks and he is quite good.

3. Check out Sheryl over at www.msbitchcakes.blogspot.com she rocks!!!! Very informative and loving her style and she will rock as a WW leader – Looking good Sheryl!

4. Another favourite craft site is Inking Idaho – It is amazing what she creates. I have also purchased a few of her tutorials- easy to follow and so cute!.

5. Another blog I read daily is the sister of Stephanie (from last week)

6. I am slightly obsessing over birdcages at the moment – in any form.

7. I am off to a drag queen show this Saturday night - Caluzzi

8. But before I go there I am going to this dance workshop

9. Tomorrow I will be loving the feeling of a new haircut

10. This made me smile – such a cool way to brighten the world one pot hole at a time. I wish him well!

Day 38/89 Beginning the Week

Walked into work this morning and it felt good to be doing it again - the last time was nearly a week ago (eek)
There was a faint mist this morning when I hoped off the train but it cleared pretty quickly.
Low point day today so a yummy tuna salad was on the menu for lunch today and while I grumble when I make it that it takes a good ten minutes out of my half hour lunch break I absolutely love it when I am eating it!

Quiet night for me tonight - might try and get into the craft room that I have reorganised yet again and make sure I can find everything, and making sure that I stay away from the kitchen so I can smash thru 105kg!

Day 39/88 Sunny Sunday

Today saw me up early making Chocolate chip pikelets for the girls!

The adults had chicken bacon, crumpet and an egg!

Hubby cooked it - I have to have a chat with him about his cooking methods - there was butter in the pan!!!! and no grilling!!!!

So hard to work out the points - but I am going to point the food as normal and use my excercise points for the week towards the butter (ie do not use any excercise points for food!)

The girls have finally left and my house has been vaccuum and is all nice and pretty again!

Today sees me grocery shopping (boring)then followed by dance practise at 2pm.

Day 40/87 Weigh In

Well I am proud to say that weigh in saw a loss of 1.1kg!!!

Whew!

I guess I am still learning about what my body is doing and I am starting to see a pattern.
I don't seem to start loosing the weight until after the high point day on this plan - must be something with all those extra points worth of food that helps the body start to "release" the weight!

I must remember this - oh and stop weighing daily???? - Hard habit to stop! but i am trying!

Today saw me getting reay for my daughters 13th birthday party - there were 8 girls in total and they arrived at 2.30pm (lucky soccer had been cancelled so I was able to get more chores done in the morning)
The girls then had a Stampin Up card class where they made a chocolate slider and a simple card - they were impressed!

We then came back home and mucked around a bit until I got the pizza, hot chips and made the home made garlic bread for them all.
They then watched Alice in Wonderland and Tooth Fairy on DVD.

Lights out at 11pm!

My BFF and I had fish and salad - YUM!!!! followed by our treat of corn thins and hummus another YUM!!!!

Day 41/86 End of the Working Week

What a week it has been!

Trying to pull myself back into line has been hard this week, but I can say without a doubt that I achieved it last night – I made sure I had a low point day and I was successful!

GO ME!!!!

Today will be another low point day and I will be successful again!

The scales this morning have finally moved! – in the right direction.
Unfortunately I was unable to walk to work this morning as it was raining in the morning again! So two days down on the exercise front!

Busy weekend with my daughters birthday celebrations tomorrow and her actual birthday on Sunday –altho we are all very busy on the Sunday so it will be a low key affair for her!

Thursday, July 22, 2010

Day 42/85 On the Boards at Last!!!

Yay – I have finally managed to get onto the boards – What I am needing to do is sign into the site and then sign into my page and all is good!

Last night was spent at a card class were we made a cool little bag and a summer themed card (Photos to follow), it was a lot of fun and only four turned up so it finished a lot earlier than normal!

I also organised a bit more of my daughters birthday party as I am bringing the girls to a card class/workshop on Saturday as part of the celebrations.

But I gave in while there and had a piece of cake – argh – why!!!

The scales this morning showed up .300 serves me right!

I am meeting my target with the water challenge of Kenz and Sean so that is helping move things along!

So today I am going to have a -4 day as well as tomorrow and hopefully I will have some loss on the scales – even a small one will make me happy,

I will also have an awesome week next week so that I can have a great loss and meet my monthly target.

I really want this and need to work out why I am deviating from the right path!

Wednesday, July 21, 2010

Day 43/84 Still no Access...........

I still can not get onto the WW boards – how is everyone – say hi for me!

Trish mentioned the other day about signing off and then back on as her automatic sign on was off – I have tried that and still nothing – I am signed on at home and at work and have done it on both and still nothing!

I have sent off an email to the customer service of WW and am waiting for a reply!

Might have to send another one today!

Anyway – the sneaky peek this morning still showed the same weight as weigh in on Saturday – which is, If I am to be truthful – since I am amongst friends – I have struggled this week with keeping within my points – and that includes the Wendie Plan allocations!
I am not sure what it is this week but I have been nibbling here and nibbling there!!!

Bored ???? Stressed ????? Tired ?????

Oh who knows – but I have to get it under control or there will be a gain this week!! – I do not want that!

Tuesday, July 20, 2010

Day 44/83 Ten on Tuesday

1. The Wendie Plan is going great – I am loving the variation that it brings.

2. My son is loving being back at school as he adores his teacher! He received the class award at the end of term 2 – Very proud of my Boy!

3. I have nearly finished my Daughters Party Favours-photo to follow

4. Water Challenge Update – as mentioned yesterday I need to work on my weekend consumption of H2O!

5. Drag Queen Update – This was a hoot – had such a great night and my boss introduced me to champagne – Veuve Clicquot

6. Had a free train trip last week, as they didn’t have a lot of carriages on and we were packed in like sardines so the conductor was unable to get to a group of us to click the tickets! – SCORE!

7. Check out this blog – when I think I am having a hard day I remember about Stephanie and all that she is having to endure as a result of her plane crash.

8. Here are the dance shoes I want to buy!

9. I have recently started another scrapbooking photo album that is called “The Book of ME!” and have been placing all my old photos in. It is fun looking back on the older photos and seeing how much my own children are like me when I was younger. – I have also included sections on creations, Lest we Forget, Party times to name a few!

10. I joined up for an International Gift Exchange through this website and sent some goodies to a lovely lady in England and received this gorgeous necklace from another lovely lady in America – she “knitted” this and I love it!

Weight Watchers Boards

ARGH...............

I can see them but I can not access them!!!!

How is everyone????

Will post as soon as I am able to!

Day 45/82 Focussed Again

Walked into work today – which felt good.

Back to being focused for this weight loss journey – the weekend was a bit of a mess nothing major but with TTOTM arriving on Friday night – I got the munchies quite bad over the weekend and snacked a bit more than normal – altho the snacks were low points it was more than I should have had!

-4 Day on the Wendie plan which is good – It will help get me focussed again!

Water Challenge Update – I have been perfect Mon-Fri but slipped up over the weekend – The whole reason I joined this challenge was to sort out the weekends! – I will have to work on this a lot harder this weekend!

Final lot of plans this week for my daughters birthday – she is having eight friends over. They will then get taken to a card class for a couple of hours and then home again to muck around for a bit and then it is pizza and a movie – Alice in Wonderland.
Then all the girls are sleeping over – pick up time the next day is 10am!

Whew – I will be tired!

Day 47-46/80-81 Weekend Recap

Have been without computer access all weekend – what a change that is!

Firstly weigh in saw me stay the same – which I am pleased about as TTOTM arrived on Friday night!.

The drag Queen Birthday Bash was great! – She looked fabulous!

Both kids won there soccer and my son was Player of the Day – Proud Muma!

We then headed out to my friends for the weekend and got lots of scrapbooking done!

Dance training was ok – a bit over whelming but ok.

Sunday evening was spent rearranging my craft room/office of which I need to finish up this week!

Friday, July 16, 2010

Day 48/79 Wet and Wild Friday

Its raining in Auckland AGAIN!! But I am back at work and feeling a lot better!

It is my low point day, on the Wendie plan, so I am needing to make sure I make good choices tonight at the Drag Queen Birthday Bash that I am attending – luckily I said I would drive so no alcohol will be consumed.

Not sure how weigh in will go tomorrow – overall I have been good but I am down one/two days worth of exercise and feeling like TTOTM is due any moment!

I have had an egg for breakfast, fruit for snacks and tuna salad for lunch so points are low allowing me to have a few nibbles at the event – not sure what to do regarding dinner yet – but will cross that one later!.

Will post some photos later of the evening!

Soccer tomorrow for the kids and then out to my BFF’s for the afternoon/evening scrapbooking –yah!
And if this weather keeps up let’s hope the kids are ok to be in confined quarters with a telly and loads of DVD’s to amuse them- oh might even feed them!

Day 49/78 Sick Sick Sick

I am Sick!

Am home today feeling sorry for myself - but I have slept most of the morning and dosed up on drugs so am feeling better!

Catch up later

Day 50/77 Sneaky Peek Wednesday

Sneaky Peak this morning is showing .500 down so that is good – heading in the right direction!

This head cold is beginning to pee me off!!! It is lingering a bit to long and needs to sort itself out!
Concentrate is hard and thinking harder, I am still at work but foggy!
Water consumption yesterday was completed for the challenge but today it is a bit harder!
Normal point day today and its sushi day – yum!!!

Lots to do tonight in my office/craft room but not exciting stuff – very boring office work, which will take longer than normal with this head of mine today!

Oh I got a new second cousin today at 9am – it’s a boy and his name is Cooper weighing in at 7 pound 2.

Can’t wait to meet him !

Tuesday, July 13, 2010

Day 51/76 Ten on Tuesday

I have seen this around the web on a few blogs that I read and thought I would try it here

1 My 8 year old soccer obsessed son has really enjoyed watching the Soccer World Cup and it is nice to see him watching sport in the morning instead of stupid cartoons! Hubby got him up for all the All Whites games which were at ridiculous times of the morning for us Kiwis!

2 So loving the feeling of the looser work out pants So much that I might have to invest in some new ones!

3 Preparations for my daughters 13th birthday are going great – just finalising what the girls are going to make at the card class – Here is a link to my craft blog (work in progress) for the birthday invites I made for her.

4 I am going to try and start doing the Plank exercise in the mornings as I want to strengthen my core for dance and help with the tummy in general – will let you know how I go!

5 Ever so grateful to the employee from The Warehouse that helped me retrieve my car keys from the drain that I dropped them in on Saturday!

6 Began my journey on the Water Challenge. Day one completed!

7 Check out my Dance Class’s website! – They are hot!

8 I am off to a Drag Queen Birthday Party on Friday night – He is awesome and such a Queen!

9 One of my favourite Craft blogs that I like to read is – NDG!!! – I love her style of scrapbooking, how she wraps gifts and the cards she makes – check out her ETSY shop, she ships outside of the USA.

10 Another blog I try to read daily is Gala Darling she is a Kiwi living in New York – Lots of interesting things to read about and she links around the web so lots of new places to find and it is amazing what is out there!!!!

Weight Wise – all good – today is my high point day! So lots of yummy snacks for me today!

Then subway for dinner and off to a private lesson at Dance.

Monday, July 12, 2010

Day 52/75 Monday Madness

Well the start of the water challenge begins today!
Did anyone else join up! – I am usually good with drinking my water during the week and fall short in the weekend, so I am going to use this challenge to help me get into water mode full time!
Have nearly finished 1.25 litres so on target!

It was quite cold this morning walking to work and I have the start of a cold happening so I am hoping that it will go away soon rather than commit to its full potential!

I am still excited/pumped from my loss on Saturday – I can see 105kg being so close now!
That is the magic number that I got down to for my 40th back on 4.12.08 and I have been trying to get there again for the last 18 months!
While that is the immediate short term goal - getting under 100 is my main one at the moment and I can feel that it is close as well.!

I have signed up for Kazz’s fitness challenge – any one else???

Sunday, July 11, 2010

Day 53/74 Lazy Hazy Sunday

There is an awesome frost here in Auckland this morning again - thats 3 days in a row!
Carrying on from yesterday I had an awesome loss of 2.1 still can't believe it - take my total on this journey to 7.7kg!

We headed off to Hamilton, yesterday, to the Waikato Stadium to watch the Phoenix play the Brisbane Roar in Football/Soccer and it was lots of fun.

I had packed a yummy lunch for us all to have while we were in there but upon arrival we were told no food in the stadium!!!!

So we sat outside and had our homemade subway rolls, then hubby and the kids went in and I returned the bag to the car as we didn't eat it all. Plus it was addtional excercise for me!

It was fun being able to watch the Phoenix as they are normally in Wellington - but I might try and keep an eye out for cheap flights to Wellington for hubby and kids so they can enjoy a game down there - maybe a Christmas present???

Today sees me in my craft room as I have to finish creating a couple of paper handbags for a birthday party at the end of the week and I am also needing to load up some Trademe (like EBAY) auctions and also do some paperwork for the painter I help out after hours.

Then onto dance practise which is an hour later today as we are having a group training with our out of towners!

It will be fun!

So a pretty boring day really but a nice relaxing day!!!

Saturday, July 10, 2010

Day 54/73 Weigh Day!!!!

Well the wait is over!!!

Jumped on the scales this morning and lost:

2.1kg!

Woo hoo

Now we are off to Hamlton so will post later

Day 55/72 Finally Friday

You may or may not have noticed a new picture on my blog over to the right there ……yup that’s it
I have joined in on a challenge with Sean and Kenz to consume 64 oz or 2 litres of water a day for 3 weeks.
It starts on 12 July and runs to the 31st July.
I had posted on Seans blog saying I would like to join in and a bit later on I saw that I had a comment on my blog and I checked it out and it was SEAN!!!!

It was an amazing feeling to have Sean comment on my blog!!! – I was so excited – I read his everyday and am inspired by his journey.

Speaking of comments – thank you to katiej for pointed out my subway for me – I was over pointing it a lot – should be 4.5pts if in Aussie so I might allow 5 and all should be good! – Thanks again

Another big thank you to New Me who also commented on my blog – it was another lovely surprise that someone in Canada “found”me!

So I went over and checked out her blog and really liked the following post that she found on another blog:

1. Throw out non essential numbers. This includes age, weight and height. Let the doctors worry about them. That is why you pay them.
2. Keep only cheerful friends. The grouches pull you down.
3. Keep learning. Learn more about the computer, crafts, gardening, whatever.
4. Enjoy the simple things.
5. Laugh often, long and loud. Laugh until you gasp for breath.
6. The tears happen. Endure, grieve, and move on. The only person who is with us our entire life, is ourselves. Be ALIVE while you are alive.
7. Surround yourself with what you love, Whether it's family, pets, keepsakes, music, plants, hobbies, whatever. Your home is your refuge.
8. Cherish your health: If it is good, preserve it. If it is unstable, improve it. If it is beyond what you can improve, get help.
9. Don't take guilt trips. Take a trip to the mall, even to the next county; to a foreign country but NOT to where the guilt is.
10. Tell the people you love that you love them, at every opportunity.

AND ALWAYS REMEMBER:
Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.

Day 56/71 Chilly Thursday

Sorry can't think of a title!

I managed to get a good nights sleep last night which has made me nice and refreshed this morning.
I even made my lunch last night in case I was still tired this morning.
Had run out of eggs so had to think of another lower point breakie, as it is a minus day on the wendie plan for me, so I had porridge!
YUM – It is a nice start to the day!

Any one heard of or tried the steal cut oats???? – I see them mentioned on the American blogs and haven’t seen them in the local supermarket.

The walk this morning was nice and brisk but near the end when I am about 5 minutes from work its starts to rain!!! But thankfully it was only a light drizzle so I didn’t get to wet.

Work has been busy – lots of accounts to sort out so that has kept me busy and the yummy tuna salad was just what the doctor ordered!

I am feeling ok about weigh in on sat – but nervous as well.
I have an extra dance practise tonight which will help keep me out of the cupboards, but I think hubby won’t be home when I get there so not sure what dinner will be – depends on what he has got out to cook (the joys of a stay at home dad!).
So if nothing ready I think I will have subway (safe meal!) and since it is without mayo and cheese it is a nice low 6 point meal.

Can anyone confirm I have pointed it right?
6 inch roast chicken on honey oat with a smidge of honey mustard.

Thanks if you can!

Day 57/70 Sneaky Peek Time

I couldn’t resist a sneak peek this morning to check I am heading in the right direction again and the scales did not fail me – down .500 - woo hoo now to keep the momentum going and a nice result should show on Saturday morning.

Had the regular subway for dinner last night and am slowly reducing the cheese on it which I notice I don’t really taste it at all so I think next time I will say no cheese.
I better go and re point it as I have dropped the mayo as well!

Dance class was great altho I did get home later than normal, as we practised some of our champs routine at the end of the class, which meant I didn’t get to sleep till around 11pm – which is mega late for me!
Up at 6am as usual this morning and I am feeling a bit shattered.

Drove into work this morning as it is sushi day – YAH!!!!!!!!!!

Busy day at work which is good as it is keeping me awake! –
I am hoping to do some crafting tonight for an upcoming birthday party for one of our customers, - I am hoping to make one of the bags from a tutorial I purchased from Inking Idaho.

Fun Fun Fun

Day 58/69 Feeling the Burn........

My thighs are killing me!!!!!!!!!!!!

From dance training on Sunday – oh they hurt!!!
It feels worse going down stairs and after sitting for a while.

But I will get there – I did walk/train to work this morning and it was ok once I got onto level ground – the down ramp was painful!

High point day for me today – yah! So a nice soup and toast for lunch along with various snacks thru out the day followed by yummy subway for dinner and then off to dance class!

Other than that I am leading a boring life at the moment – have not been motivated to do any crafts - which is unusual for me – I hope this funk goes soon!

I have decided to do a Christmas Shoe box - well I will be getting the children to do one each. I think it will be a great way for them to learn about helping those less fortunate and whats more fun than a christmas present - the buying/making of it and the opening of it!!!

Does anyone else do anything like this???

Monday, July 5, 2010

Day 59/68 Wet and Wild Monday Madness

Yup its raining again here in Auckland - so no walk to work for me - a drizzle and I might consider it - but this is heavy!!!
It is a low point day on the Wendie plan for me today so had an egg for breakfast and will be having a tuna salad for lunch!
My legs are still hurting this morning - the muscles haven't been worked this hard in a while and it is mainly due to the Tango Drop that we have to do!
Not much else to report so will catch you later

Days 61-60/66-67 Weekend Recount

Sorry for no postings over the weekend - it was a very busy one from start to end.
Weigh in saw a gain of .500 gms (boo hoo)
But I know why and I am back on track and positive about what I need to do to loose it. - Apart from the upset tummy I only manged to walk to work once last week and that definetly makes a difference.
Ok Weekend - childrens football had us starting early and hubby got to watch the kids play so we stayed and watch his team play - we then had visitors in the afternoon.
Sunday saw hubby and the kids leave home at 6am to drive 2 hours away for a soccer torunament.
Me - I sleep a little bit longer than expected and was running late all day.
Dance practice was great - we are up to 1 min 20 of a 3 minute routine!
My legs are feeling it today and I am sure that they will be worse tomorrow!

Friday, July 2, 2010

Day 62/65 Visitor....................

Last night saw me receiving a visitor – now I won’t say that I enjoyed the visit – but it was an old friend so I thought the nice thing to do would be invite them in!

Now this visitor and I have history – they have been there for me when I have needed them and for that I was thankful – at the time!

But I have not needed this friend for a while – shall we say 65 days – so it was a bit of a shock to hear them knocking!!!

But I answered the door and invited them in…………………..

WILL I EVER LEARN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That friend is CHEESE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Argh my downfall – I have been so good since starting this journey again and have controlled the amounts of cheese I have with my lunch (20gms) but last night in my “woe is me my tummy is still bloated and sore” - I went into the kitchen and hunted it out!!!!
I then proceeded to have 5 crackers (2 points) and cheese – how much cheese – I do not know!!!!! And why?????? – I do not know!!!!!!!!

I did not feel any better after having the cheese – in fact – I felt worse!!! And today I am still feeling yuk!!!

Weigh in tomorrow will be interesting!!!

Thursday, July 1, 2010

Day 63/64 The half way point!

Well I am half way there - where is there???
Well it is from the start - back in May to 4th September - Ceroc Champs!

I am impressed with my focus on this journey (apart from the slip up on Sunday - which I am still paying for!!!) it has been consistent and this is the secret of my success - a Goal to work towards that is over and about gettting to Goal weight - I did it back in 2008 leading up to my 40th birthday party and subsequently let it slip! And now with this goal of loosing for champs I am focussed again!

Now to think about my goals from 4th September onwards - I am hoping with getting to or passing the triple figures that it will be enough to help keep the momento going and I think it will be this time - I am enjoying walking to work/catching the train and with following Weight Watchers on the Wendie plan I feel challenged - in a good way - each week with my points and how best to use them each day.
The key is variation for me and the wendie plan helps me do this!

With 6.1 kgs down I am definetly noticing it in my clothes and am getting closer to needing new clothes but I am going to wait till I am back down to my lowest again of 105kg or maybe lower before buying some new trousers! - I might need to get some new tops as I have only 2 jumpers for winter and I keep them at work, so I need to get something for home.

I started the Prune juice last night - and had another large glass of it this morning - it wasn't that bad!
I also have some kiwifruit for morning tea today so i am hoping that it will sort a few things out soon!
